What to see in Grindelwald
Grindelwald is a Swiss commune of the canton of Bern, located in the administrative district of Interlaken-Oberhahasli. It borders the north with the communes of Iseltwald, Brienz and Brienzwiler, to the east with Meiringen, Schattenhalb, Innertkirchen and Guttannen, to the south with Fieschetal (vs), and to the west with Lauterbrunnen and Lütschental.
The towns of Alpiglen, Grund, Itramen, Mühlebach, Schwendi, Tschingelberg and Wargistal are part of the communal territory. Until December 31, 2009 it was in the district of Interlaken.
Reputed mountain station, in winter as in summer, located in the Jungfrau region in the Bernese Alps, at the feet of the northern face of the Eiger. The ski zone is between the stations of Wengen and Mürren, these comprise about 200 km of tracks. The wonderful panoramas that can be obtained at the mountainous cusps, constitute one of the excursions objectives both in summer and winter.
